I am an Eagle Scout, which has given me deep roots in community service, volunteering, and improving the world I live in.
I, along with a small group of friends and family, have performed acts of charity and community service around the neighborhood – such as shoveling snow, lawn care, and the like for the elderly and disabled.
In 2019, the universe connected me with Ben, who was doing a 22 hour run to raise awareness for veteran suicide. We became life-long friends, and afterwards he wrote a blog which was the birth of “Everyone Needs A Steve”. Ultimately, it was suggested that I form a foundation to continue this formally, and here we are!
Everyone Needs a Steve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to strengthen communities through Service and Support. Our primary focus is to raise awareness to reduce veteran suicide rates and to provide free community service projects for those in need. Our intent is to provide direct services such as yard work, raking leaves, snow removal for veterans, elderly individuals, and those with disabilities.
We are dedicated to raising awareness about the alarming rates of veteran suicide and engaging in impactful fundraising initiatives to support mental health services specifically tailored to their needs. Additionally, we strive to offer unwavering support and guidance to individuals navigating emotional distress, empowering them with hope, purpose, and a clear path forward. By combining advocacy, service, and compassion, we aspire to create a society where every person feels valued, supported, and equipped to thrive.
